Board oks funding for EEI addition, district begins superintendent search

The Sheridan School Board approved approximately $1 million in funding toward the cost of constructing an addition to East End Intermediate School and is beginning a search for a new school superintendent following the resignation of Superintendent Scott Spainhour.

AHTD awards first bypass contract

The first contract for construction associated with the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department’s Sheridan Bypass on U.S. Highway 167 was awarded to an Illinois company last week, according to information released by the AHTD.
